COVID-19 News and Updates - as of 7/16

  • We are open and taking appointments again.

On May 26, the Governor announced that Phase 2 reopening will commence on Friday, May 28.   Massage Therapy Establishments have been granted the ability to open without the need for prescriptions.

We will continue to maintain our safety protocols outlined to the right and pre-screen all of our clients.

We are currently only allowed to book by appointment only, so please feel free to call, text or email!

Pre-Appointment Health Screening Questions

If you answer yes to any of the following questions, we will need to reschedule your appointment for an appropriate time.

  • Have you had a fever in the last 24 hours of 100°F or above?

  • Do you now, or have you recently had, any respiratory or flu symptoms, sore throat, or shortness of breath?

  • Have you been in contact with anyone in the last 14 days who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has coronavirus-type symptoms?

Updated Office Visit Protocols

With reopening come a few changes to the usual appointment experience.  We are doing our best to maintain social distancing while in the work environment, here is a summary of the changes we have made to comply with the requirements for safe operation.
  • All clients to remain in their car until they are invited in for their appointment.

  • Clients are asked to bring the minimum amount of personal property into the establishment.

  • Whenever possible, forms will be provided before the appointment for completion at home.

  • Pre-appointment health screenings

  • Seeing fewer clients to allow for social distancing in our wait room

  • We ask all clients to please wear your face mask when entering and exiting the office to protect our staff and other patients.

  • Masks must be worn except when face-down on the treatment table.

  • Require a card on file to make payments automatic upon check out

  • No longer enforcing a 24 hr cancellation policy. If you don't feel well, please don't come in. Just give us a call to let us know.

  • New client consultations are being performed through our telemedicine platform or by phone rather than in-person to limit face-to-face contact.

  • Extensive disinfecting using N-List approved chemicals

  • HEPA Filters used to filter treatment room air during and after each appointment.

  • Updated informed consent required to receive treatment.

  • Reduced office days to Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.  Added Outcall/In-home service option on Wednesday and Thursday.

All services are based on well-researched methods; for more information on what the research says about the benefits of massage, please click here.

  • Therapeutic Massage - A deep tissue massage that addresses common muscle tension patterns and skeletal alignment issues that result in pain, limited range of motion, headaches, stress, and sleep disturbances. A custom blend of massage modalities adapted to the client's specific areas of concern and a focus on facilitating postural alignment. Clients may be partially clothed and will be draped.

  • Swedish Massage - When relaxation is your goal, this massage is for you.  Gentle to moderate pressure, with strokes that focus on sedating the nervous system and improving local circulation and for that extra soothing touch: hot towels applied to the feet with your choice of essential oil.

  • CranioSacral Therapy - A gentle approach to balancing the fascia, cerebrospinal fluid, sacrum, skull bones, and nervous system.  It helps by releasing tension throughout the body and can be effective for reducing pain associated with fibromyalgia and headaches. Clients may remain fully clothed.

Tools and techniques we may employ in a therapeutic massage session include: Cupping, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation (IASTM), Fascial Stretch Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Heat, Topical Analgesics (eg: Deep Blue, Battle Balm), Essential Oils and Neuromuscular Re-education.
